Hi all. I am using the livecd-ng script from CVS to make a gentoo |
2 |
distro that boots directly into different kinds of game servers. I've |
3 |
been using it at LAN parties and different gaming events. Lately, I've |
4 |
been spending more time burning copies for people and less time |
5 |
playing. So, I built this machine with a 52x bunrner and moded |
6 |
livecd-ng script to be this menu-driven app. People just walk up to the |
7 |
screen, go through the menu, pop their blank cdr in, and in a few |
8 |
minutes the cdr opens and they have a shiny new gentoo livecd with their |
9 |
favorite game servers on it. Its like the supercuts method. |
10 |
|
11 |
If someone on here is doing development on that module, I have a few |
12 |
questions about the livecd-ng shell script. |
13 |
|
14 |
- when booting the cd, checkfs, localmount, clock, and bootmisc fail to |
15 |
start. Do I need to take these out? Is there something I need to do to |
16 |
make them start up right? |
17 |
|
18 |
- whats going on with the chroot_clean function? all the code for |
19 |
adding the bits and pieces like fstab, CDBOOT=1, etc are gone. Will |
20 |
they reappear again or should I just do my own thing there? |
21 |
|
22 |
- gclooop-0.66.3 does not compile for me at all. I'm using _0.66-1. |
23 |
What does .3 give me? I've checked out the lastest version that was |
24 |
just commited 9 days ago but still it dies. Missing headers I believe |
25 |
but I'm not at the machine to get the actual error for you. |
26 |
|
27 |
Thanks for your time. |
