Actually, i installed manually vera fonts on my system (4.3.0-r2) and |

copied as instructed the local.conf from the package to /etc/fonts, ran |

It has got nothing to do with xftconfig which is my second point, xft |

package is *incompatible* with xfree 4.3.0-r2 (as mentionned in the |

ebuild) and if you upgraded from 4.2.1 (as i did), it doesn't uninstall |

it (tried that on 2 gentoo 1.4rc3 from 4.2.1 to 4.3.0-r2) and i had to : |

emerge unmerge xft (which contains xft-config) |
