9 Many scripts/ebuilds/etc. use some pretty bash-specific features, so
10 bash is always going to be a requirement. Is the issue that they do not
11 want bash at all? It seems bash (not sh) is a requirement about on par
12 with python. If they want to use a different shell, just emerge it, and
13 change the shell in /etc/passwd.
