If that's what you need to bump perl, we devs have access to a testbed 
machines from every arch, or at least used to.  I'm not sure if there's a 
list somewhere.  FWIW, we don't have python under a tinderbox for every 
possible combination of CFLAGS, env, etc -- and python is more vital to 
Gentoo than perl is.
