Hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
I do the Portage Watch section of Gentoo Weekly News. |
4 |
|
5 |
In order to check for masking my script uses emerge -s and greps for masked. |
6 |
The reason for this is that it is easy and also future-proof as far as |
7 |
masking locations are concerned. (I _will_ soon be adding in information for |
8 |
non-x86 users). |
9 |
|
10 |
The problem is that it is very slow. As I hope to release the script for |
11 |
people to use themselves eventually I would like to speed it up. My |
12 |
questions is therefore given that I know the exact category/package (ie I |
13 |
don't need to search) is there a better (quicker) way to get this |
14 |
information? |
15 |
|
16 |
TIA |
17 |
|
