You can use the sys snapshots at
http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/snapshots/default/
download the tbz2 related to your platform i.e i486 or 1686
burn default-i*86-20010524.tbz2 to a cd
and then download boot images i.e bootdisk.img at
http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/gentoo-x86-distro/gentoo-1.0_rc4/images/
and rescue-net.img from
http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/gentoo-x86-distro/gentoo-1.0_rc4/images/testing
the instructions for making boot disks and installation are the urls above.

This will help you till the time the ISO's are made available.
