5 So, if bugs are being fixed why is there a need to fix something that

9 Hypothetically, if there was such a policy and there was 100's of bugs
10 filed with patches (maintainers should handle the patches anyway) this
11 isn't any different than the present lack of policy. Let us also pretend
12 that there were 100's of bugs filed that had no such patches
13 available..would the QA team have the manpower to generate patches to
14 fix this and apply them or would the bugs just rot in bugzilla and not
15 achieve anything?
