Note that this is also a usability issue. I recently helped a friend set |

up Gentoo + KDE (first Linux experience), and the default PATH did not |

include the /usr/kde/x.x/bin dir, so he couldn't open KDE progs from the |

command line. |

This may be an easy bug or configuration error in /etc/env.d, but the |

issue remains that it is easier for all the programs to be located in |
