I was reading through the user mode linux docs and am very interested in it. |

The company I work for is in the process of switching from RedHat to Gentoo, |

mostly due to the easier maintence of the portage system. I need to create a |

custom install CD based off the live CD. I tried to follow the instructions |

in the docs to boot the initrd image off the live CD, but I get an error that |
| 9 |
/etc/init.d/rcS (or something similar cannot be found), but it does give me a |
| 10 |
console. I run /linuxrc and detection of the dtc driver causes the user mode |
| 11 |
linux process to exit immediately. |
