http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63795. This may be as simple as a
keymap problem. Just diffing changes in keymaps from 6.7 to 6.8 could
show the problem.

Where and what are the bugs for the last issue? Gentoo or
freedesktop.org? http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1184
and http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=563 were what I saw
on a brief search.
