i suppose you're talking about gtkmm2 and friends here, i think because |

it's pretty heavy in development and that would mean updating a bunch of |

packages quite often over some time, while there is enough stable stuff |

to attend to. Altough I know you can find some newer ones then those |

that are in portage right now on bugzilla. |

There are no packages relieing on it atm afaik, so that lowers its |

priority as well. |

Mostly they will work fine with version-bumping btw, so you can get |

quite easily the latest and greatest at your personal system. But i |

suppose when they enter the official tree all dependencies need to be |
15 |
checked as well, which is time consuming (the first versions in portage |

were mine if i remember correctly). |
