1 Just make shure you put your domain in the rcpthosts - if you leave it blank spammers can (and i discovered, will even if it's just some obscure box in some far away corner of the 'net) use your box to send emails... "I'll fix that with some sort of clever authentication when i get around to it one of these days..." really dosn't work there :)

3 on a more relevant note I just came accross a guide at http://www.dulug.duke.edu/~icon/qvcs-guide/ which looks like it may be just what you're looking for. I currently run qmail and courrier Imap (only SSL connections allowed to IMAP so pw's aren't sent in plaintext) on an OpenBSD box so if you get stuck drop me an email and I might remember how to set it up :)
