5 Certainly agree that systemd is innovative.

7 I think this whole thing is becoming a bit moot. The openrc
8 maintainer is already planning to add use flags to allow for clean
9 comingling of the two init systems. Why don't we let everybody play
10 around with and generally improve both, and then let the "market" sort
11 it out as it were?

13 I'd rather read planet.g.o articles about neat things being done with
14 either systemd or openrc than a lot of bickering about which one is
15 better on a mailing list. Give the users a choice, and then the
16 distro can go with whatever proves to be stronger. As has long been a
17 tradition in Gentoo we can also help to improve both upstream
18 experiences while we're at it.
