Hi, |
2 |
|
3 |
I was wondering whether there ary any plans to enhance the SGML- and |
4 |
XML-related tools of the Portage tree? Here's a list of proposals: |
5 |
|
6 |
(1) Split the app-text/openjade package into opensp (the SGML parser) |
7 |
and openjade (the Jade engine). |
8 |
|
9 |
(2) Update the versions to the latest releases, OpenSP 1.5 and |
10 |
OpenJade 1.3.2. |
11 |
|
12 |
(3) Once we have OpenSP 1.5, make use of the DTDDECL directive in the |
13 |
catalog files! As is, it is extremely cumbersome to process DTDs |
14 |
with differing SGML declarations. |
15 |
|
16 |
(4) If the use flag SGML is set, register XML DTDs with the SGML |
17 |
parser as well. |
18 |
|
19 |
(5) Clean up the extremely messy DocBook catalog, which is "too big" |
20 |
at best. |
21 |
|
22 |
(6) Update the various ebuilds for standard DTDs. |
23 |
|
24 |
I am willing to help in the process as much as possible, but I have |
25 |
very limited ebuild/python/whatever knowledge, so I cannot do much |
26 |
more than advice and test. |
27 |
|
28 |
Any takers? |
29 |
|
30 |
