Hello, gang! In the absence of fox2mike (who did some good behind the scenes |
5 |
stuff before he was called away by other things), release responsibilities were |
6 |
handed down to me, so I hope I did a good job? The tracker bug (#143694) is |
7 |
still open as of this writing, as I asked JoseJX to look in on some PPC |
8 |
afterthoughts (#144190). |
9 |
|
10 |
Anyway, all the handbooks are in place in /doc/en/handbook/ and in handbook/2006.1/. |
11 |
|
12 |
Translators, start your engines! :D (oh yeah, and uncomment index.xml as |
13 |
translations are added) |
14 |
|
15 |
Many thanks to neysx for implementing conditionals; they were really a boon for |
16 |
this release -- made working with the handbooks much easier. Next task is to |
17 |
maybe see if we can get conditionals working for the MIPS handbook (Redhatter |
18 |
did a nice job with the new MIPS hb). |
19 |
|
20 |
Also thanks to rane, who did great work with many arches, and to SwifT, who got |
21 |
the tarball scripts working (yay!!!) and shipped the doc tarballs. And to |
22 |
fox2mike, who gave me some good advice on the release process that helped me |
23 |
through. Thanks to the helpful points of contact in releng and from the arch |
24 |
teams (agaffney, kugelfang, wolf31o2, and others) who were available to answer |
25 |
questions. And thanks to anyone else who contributed that I forgot to mention. |
26 |
|
27 |
I think that if you find any errors in these handbooks, they're mine alone. 8) |
28 |
|
29 |
See you around, GDP; can't wait until we're all back from devaway to let more |
30 |
good times roll. :D |
