GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
A small request: when the new installation documents are published, can
they please indicate a suitable stage at which to run localedef to
create the locales that glibc still can't. It would also be helpful to
start the installation with an optional /etc/init.d/numlock start for
those who aren't installing on a laptop.
