I mentioned a reason for this in my email to the list on the new |

format. At this point, I'm more concerned with having a visual |

reference to the extensive history of commits to metadoc.xml. Also, as |

you said, any changes to metadoc run the risk of doing lots more |

damage than a change made to a regular guide. |

I've done a little bit of stuff in our XSL over the years, but only |

small changes. Nothing major. We definitely need someone who's |

completely comfortable working with all aspects of our XSLT. Alec |

(antarus) has been playing about with a copy of our repo for some |

design work; he might be able to contribute a patch or two as issues |

come up, if we ask really nicely. |
