GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
So much clearer now. And even if that nice ideal of all documentation
being handled by gentoo-doc hasn't happened yet...it might have a
bright side: at least some of the workload is reduced; other teams can
take care of their respective contributions. It might be a silver
lining in the short term.
