7 you mean "why hasnt it been done yet?". i imagine they're focusing on the
8 lower pieces first before they start picking the higher fruit. obviously a
9 AC_CHECK_LIB is really just a special case for linking a C file against some
10 library. and autoconf already has turned the basic compile/link steps into
11 functions. i'd say the obvious answer is "help out", but not much point with
12 you.
