you mean "why hasnt it been done yet?". i imagine they're focusing on the |

lower pieces first before they start picking the higher fruit. obviously a |

AC_CHECK_LIB is really just a special case for linking a C file against some |

library. and autoconf already has turned the basic compile/link steps into |

functions. i'd say the obvious answer is "help out", but not much point with |
