[gentoo-embedded] gentoo embedded with normal libc instead of uclibc: crazy?

Hi,

I had been using Heath's wonderful HOWTO until I realized that I needed
a system based on the standard libc, not uclibc. I spent the past few
months (spare time project) trying to create this system from scratch,
but I really miss the gentoo environment.

This morning I realized that perhaps I can use gentoo-embedded and 
standard libc.

I know it will be much larger - that's OK.

Does anyone know if there already exist a HOWTO for this?

If I went down this path, would there be interest in me creating a
HOWTO for this?

Any other thoughts, ideas, considerations or comments on this approach?
