3 I skimmed over your suggestions and found they have slightly different
4 targets than what I was aiming for. What I had in mind was something
5 like sisela (http:/the.earth.li/~martin/sisela) It's almost perfect
6 feature wise but not so well laid out if you think about
7 maintainablility and extensions. It wrapps all and everything in one
8 Makefile which seems to be rather unflexible (that reads: I had problems
9 to update some outdated stuff). Besides, I'd rather prefer to use a
10 consistent set of tools to build specifically tailored Applications. The
11 general flexibility of the gentoo (meta)distribution looks very
12 promising in that regard. I have seen an embedded profile in
13 /usr/portage/profiles and will start to play with that.
