Subject: baselayout-lite and emerging into a new root?
Date: Thu, 14 Jul 2005 15:17:21 -0400
Hello,

I'm trying to create an image for my embedded device (a Soekris 4526)
by doing the following:

ROOT="./soekris" emerge bootlayout-lite uclibc busybox dropbear

But bootlayout-lite is marked as KEYWORDS="-*", meaning its masked
for every platform.

Is there a way around that?

Also, is there a 'Gentoo way' to manage different kernel
configurations? For example, the configuration for my desktop machine
and the little Soekris box? If not, how do I do that?

Thanks,

-Josh
