GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
OpenEmbedded has been working on something like this already. They have
a somewhat working portage. Most of their programs build under GCC
3.1/3.2. Chris Larson, kergoth in #OpenEmbedded, and his team are doing
some good work on this. Might wanna chat with him if this is similar
project. His team is using BitKeeper to manage their developement files,
but can be viewed at http://openembedded.bkbits.net/ and some info at
http://openembedded.org. Might be helpfull, never know. He tends to be
irritated with people at times.
I don't know if this has been brought up earlier, I just signed up for
this mailing list.
