You need to have necessary packages on your system.

Many of them:

        dev-lang/python
        dev-python/pyrex
        dev-python/pyparted
        dev-python/pyxml
        dev-python/mod_python
        dev-python/pymetar
        dev-python/pygtk
        dev-python/pythondialog

This list is not exhausive.
