Hi all, |
30 |
|
31 |
I wanted to thank you all for making the GNU Classpath distro DevJam |
32 |
(Europe) a great success by your participation in Oldenburg, help with |
33 |
organizing, moral and/or financial support. |
34 |
|
35 |
I seems we brought some harmony into the hearts and minds of the |
36 |
different distributions (Ubuntu, SkoleLinux, Debian, Fedora, Suse, |
37 |
Gentoo, OpenEmbedded) that participated. And being able to talk and |
38 |
debug some issues with several of the upstream projects involved (GNU |
39 |
Classpath, kaffe, gcj, Cacao) was definitely inspirational and |
40 |
productive. |
41 |
|
42 |
LWN asked me to write an article about the meeting that is currently |
43 |
being published for subscribers (please support LWN it is a great |
44 |
magazine): http://lwn.net/Articles/153450/ |
45 |
Next week it will be free for all. |
46 |
|
47 |
Here is a list of other summaries and notes of the meeting: |

(Please send me, or the devjam mailing-list, updates and additions.) |
64 |
|
65 |
On request of several of the participants I have setup a mailing-list so |
66 |
people can keep in touch and coordinate cross-distro/packaging things. |
67 |
If you are interested please send an email to |
68 |
devjam-subscribe@×××××××××××××××××××.org |
69 |
The mailing-list has a public archive accessible through: |
70 |
http://developer.classpath.org/mailman/listinfo/devjam |
71 |
|
72 |
And if you are interested in participating or helping out with a |
73 |
followup meeting please see the wiki about DevJam++: |
74 |
http://java.debian.net/index.php/DevJam++ |
75 |
|
76 |
Thanks again for all your enthusiasm! |
77 |
And if you didn't make it this time I hope to see you at DevJam++. |
78 |
|
79 |
Cheers, |
80 |
|
81 |
Mark |
