11 Yes, since there are still packages that don't build with 1.5, (new
12 methods, etc). And since we do not have to resources to patch them, we
13 can just force it to use a 1.4 one, untill upstream releases a new
14 version, or someone patches it, this way it does not block/hold back the
15 rest, like the case is now.

17 It also allows for when you have a 1.4 as system-vm, and package needs
18 1.5 features.

20 Also, the launcher wrapper to run java apps uses the same base to switch
