Are you saying that the knoppix disk won't boot? That would be strange - |

in my experience non-booting livecds usually fixed by adding kernel |

options (acpi or irq options usually) during the boot processes. That's |

quite easy on the gentoo livecd for instance, not sure how to do it on |

knoppix. |

If you have a booting gentoo system and can't mount the knoppix disk |

from within gentoo - if you are sure the CD isn't corrupted in it's |

filesystem: then it probably comes down once again to kernel issues - |

probably a lack of a certain filesystem support in |

"Bad superblock" normally either formatting errors / corrupt disk, or |

support for a particular file system not built into kernel etc. etc. |
