Hello,
I've just started to set up power management on my laptop. I've used the gentoo doc but I have some problems working out what is wrong with my configuration.
E.g, here is the message in /var/log/acpid
[Mon Apr 18 13:33:25 2005] starting up

/usr/bin/on_ac_power: line 40: apm_available: command not found
[Mon Apr 18 14:52:14 2005] END HANDLER MESSAGES
[Mon Apr 18 14:52:14 2005] action exited with status 0
[Mon Apr 18 14:52:14 2005] completed event "ac_adapter ACAD 00000080 00000000"
I also find the following line in /var/log/everything/current
Apr 18 14:52:14 [logger] ACPI group ac_adapter / action ac_adapter is not defined
Any idea? I don't know if any other information is needed, I've followed the doc on the gentoo web pages...
