Ok, I tried enabling DynamicClocks but it didn't work at first - so I
switched to the radeon framebuffer (was using vesa) and it works!
This is what I encountered with vesafb:
May 5 22:27:09 arthur agpgart: Found an AGP 2.0 compliant device at
0000:00:00.0.
May 5 22:27:09 arthur agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:00:00.0
into 1x mode
May 5 22:27:09 arthur agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:01:00.0
into 1x mode
May 5 22:27:34 arthur vesafb: mode switch failed (eax: 0x14f)
However, now Im using the radeon framebuffer I can't get console
themes working. Do console themes work with radeonfb? Did I miss
something? The only thing I changed was my kernel arguments in
grub.conf:
From: video=vesafb:1024x768-32@60
To: video=radeonfb:1024x768-32@60
It's obviously not critical, but it's something I'd really like to
have working again. Any help is appreciated .. I wouldn't ask, but
I've no idea where to start.
Thankee!
