This is sounding the waters for some releng plans. |

First of all, /experimental/beta/. This would be a beta release of every |

arch, some time before the final release was made. Presently estimated |

about the same size as a release (2006.1 was 11.8Gb, 2007.0 was 10.3Gb, |

2008.0 is estimated around the same 10Gb mark). |

You'd be welcome to exclude it if you didn't want it on your mirror. |

Second is a bit of a pie-in-the-sky thing, but it's going to be a DVD |

image and a bunch of related tarballs. Also under /experimental |

somewhere, for another ~4.5Gb. |

On sizes for /releases, /releases is going to be shrinking another 3Gb |

or so, as the last arches lose their 2006.0 stuff when 2008.0 is close |

at hand. |
