GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
The mirror of the University of Texas at Dallas' Linux Users Group has
recently been down for a total of about 7 days. No further downtime is
planned or expected.
The first 5 days were due to a combination of a power outage and
vacation between semesters, so no one was around to power the machine
back on. The second 2 days were spent on moving mirroring operations to
a much better machine, with 8x the RAM, a faster CPU and buses, and more
storage.
