So I checked some of the other IPs at osuosl.org

These two cannot read 0700 directories:
64.50.236.52 (ftp.osuosl.org, rsync.osuosl.org, rsync-ext.osuosl.org)
64.50.238.52 (ftp.osuosl.org)

This one can:
140.211.166.134 (ftp-osl.osuosl.org)

Raczkowski, where are you syncing from? I mean, what IP does
rsync-ext.osuosl.org resolve to for you and do you really not get any
errors from it (or are you just bitbucketing them)? Do you have any
files in releases/*/2006.1/ or are they just empty directories?
