GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
After examining some logs I figure that if I simply stop serving
/releases, I will get back within the limits my ISP is imposing on me
with plenty to spare. After all /releases is the root cause for
90+% of my traffic.
