Have you done any research to see if those that were responsible for the |
7 |
lacking areas have resigned? I think you might be surprised to see they |
8 |
are all still active. There were other reasons for all of it, none of it |
9 |
due to a lack of devs, or losing people. |

Hmm, then why are you running Gentoo still? :) |

And what has technical gone wrong with the project as a whole? You have |
21 |
pointed out 1 technical shortcoming, no second release in 08. But their |
22 |
were logical delays there. Given some of the technical issues with |
23 |
2007.0, subsequent releases got more QA and thus delays. |
24 |
|
25 |
GWN was a lack of articles, call for help went out repeatedly. No devs |
26 |
stepped up, nor users, so no GWN. |
27 |
|
28 |
Foundation is another matter, but neither devs or users gave a crap. |
29 |
People can say they do, but look at this list archives, and the lack of |
30 |
traffic over the past year. Did anyone really care that does now? Of |
31 |
those that say they care, did anyone do anything? Everyone can only |
32 |
blame themselves. Which most all devs have done and we are past it and |
33 |
on to solving the problem. |

Is any of that negativity technical related? I see no one talking about |
42 |
our technical shortcomings or failures as a project. Which the project |
43 |
is quite healthy. |

Trust the code or don't. It's all open source, so there for you to see. |
51 |
If you trust the code, then you should trust those writing it, and other |
52 |
decisions they might make. The rest is some what moot. |
