Subject: Gentoo Foundation Trustees Election - Voting Started Today
Date: Mon, 2 Mar 2009 11:04:58 +0100
Dear Gentoo Foundation Members,

Voting for Gentoo Trustees term 2009-2011 has started today at 00:00 UTC and
will last until March 29th 23:59 UTC.

We have four running candidates for two Board positions: Matthew Summers
(quantumsummers), Christina Fullam (musikc), Patrick Lauer (Patrick) and Robin
Johnson (robbat2). The progress is updated on the election page [1].

All Members of the Gentoo Foundation who were Members on the recording date
(2009-01-11) may vote, you can check if you're such a member on the official
list of members [2].

If you are a current Gentoo Developer, you may vote using dev.gentoo.org and
votify script. To do that, ssh to the dev.gentoo.org machine and issue the
following commands:

$ votify --new trustees2009
A file named .ballot-trustees2009 will be created in your home directory. Edit it and rank the candidates.
$ votify --verify trustees2009
It will verify that your edited ballot file is not broken.
$ votify --submit trustees2009
This will rename the ballot file to .ballot-trustees2009-submitted. If you
change your mind before voting period ends, just remove that file and redo
everything from scratch.

If you are not a Gentoo Developer and thus don't have access to dev.gentoo.org, you
have to mail your GPG-signed ballot file to Election Officials at elections@g.o.

If you run into trouble at any point of voting, please contact Election
Officials at elections@g.o or on #gentoo-elections on Freenode.

Kind regards,

Lukasz Damentko
for the Election Officials
