13 A wild guess: is the parent pointing to ..? If so, does that point to a
14 valid profile? If you use the default prefixed profile from the
15 prefixed-tree and put your profile in ${PREFIX}/etc/portage/profile does
16 that work? (That's what I did in the end, because that was as
17 convenient to me.)
