17 Yeah, I'm pretty much finished with the base-system packages, so a
18 traditional prefixed stage{1,3} can take the place of haubis stage0/
19 toolsbox stuff. Of course you still need to bootstrap manually if you
20 want a different default prefix than whatever the stage builders
21 used. For Darwin/OS X, I'm leaning towards using /Library/Portage as
22 the default prefix, not sure about what would be preferable for other
23 systems. /opt might be a good choice, but for reasons I can't really
24 clarify yet, a unique namespace seems better suited...but I digress.
