GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
Ran into another issue I haven't previously. When ebuilding a package
the checksum complained. So I ran "ebuild pathToebuild digest", but
it still complained. I needed to physically remove the Manifest file
and regenerate it to actually get back to building.
Regression???
