GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
Not that there aren't bugs open still, but that this fixes so many other bugs it
was worth pushing forward with (that and the remaining bugs really require some
rethinking, and that means a lot of recoding, and I didn't want to delay the
current fixes for yet another round). So, enjoy :)
