9 The main problem in my books is the $A kludgery that would have to be
10 implemented for one specific set of packages- ebuild's/eclass's futzing
11 w/ $A ($S would be saner, although still problematic) is utterly
12 intrusive, and would require modification of the existing ebuilds.

14 That's not to say supporting gnu diff patches isn't a bad idea- I'm just
15 trying to point out that the implementation issues have some rather
16 thorny problems to address.
