The patch was because it was thought to be broken; instead it's outright
not allowed currently ;)   It's another one of those "should the
profiles modify a repository and if so how do you bind the changes to a
specific repository" questions.

I was poking at how to document bash without quite telling people, hey
if you want to know what it does, read the source.  However bash doesn't
auto-document well ;)
