Perhaps not, but all I now is that missing performance... I have very simple test for that; I first boot with mac-boot+ppc64-livecd and bzipping (bzip -9) test file, which takes 8.8 seconds to compress. Then I boot with yaboot from /dev/sda and repeating same bzipping and now it takes about 12.6 seconds. btw. with ppc32 same test takes about 7.1 seconds. I found out this phenomenon couple months ago when I played with OSX and ppc32-gentoo. I think that mac-boot initializes something which has same efect when you "turn on full performance" on OSX.
