Hi, |
2 |
|
3 |
it seems that with a recent portage upgrade (I'm using 2.0.50-r11) a |
4 |
whole lot of USE flags have disappeared from the make.defaults in ppc |
5 |
2004.x profiles. (I just noticed this just today when emerge -UDp all |
6 |
of a sudden wanted to install gnome-base/orbit which I never needed |
7 |
before.) |
8 |
|
9 |
So I wonder what might be the reason for this significant truncation |
10 |
of USE in make.defaults, especially since it seems that the x86 |
11 |
profiles didn't change in a similar way. Has this been announced |
12 |
somewhere and I just missed it? |
13 |
|
14 |
As a side note, for some packages I keep seeing duplicate use flags |
15 |
with emerge -v for quite some time now. For instance, here is the |
16 |
output of emerge -pv mozilla (lines wrapped for readability): |
17 |
|
18 |
Calculating dependencies ...done! |
19 |
[ebuild R ] net-www/mozilla-1.7.3 +crypt -debug -debug -gnome |
20 |
+gtk2 +gtk2 -java -java +ldap +mozcalendar -mozdevelop -moznocompose |
21 |
+moznoirc -moznomail -moznoxft -moznoxft +mozsvg -mozxmlterm +ssl |
22 |
-xinerama +xprint 0 kB |
23 |
|
24 |
It's not e big deal and doesn't seem to cause any problems, but it's |
25 |
still a little confusing ;) |
26 |
|
27 |
|
28 |
Best regards, |
29 |
