The default boot crashes out immediately with what looks like a core
dump (though I'm not a developer, just the SA).

The safe-boot option gives many errors mostly to do with SCSI and IDE drive and adapter detection. Once the Gentoo keyboard-type prompt comes up, the physical keyboard (USB) doesn't respond at all. Any ideas? Do any of the PPC kernel developers live in London and want to come and have a play? Cheers, R -- Richard Jones http://www.jonze.com richard at jonze dot com
