Am in the process of setting up an ibook, which, considering that |

this is my first attempt of using a ppc architecture works quite |

I compiled a number of packages which I use |

regularly, and which were masked because ppc was not among the |

supported architectures. The following packages at least |

compile (gentoo 1.4beta) correctly; I believe that I checked in |

all cases that they also start. I did not have the time yet to |
| 10 |
work with them, but all of them are multiplatform packages, |
| 11 |
so I would be very surprised if there are problems: |

The pmw ebuild has a problem in so far as it requires python |

to be compiled *after* tk was compiled; I don't think this |

On the other hand, hfsplusutils doesn't compile; this looks like |

a gcc 3.2 issue to me ... |
