GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
I've had no success to boot with mini-install-universal-ppc64-2004.1.iso
It goes all the way to point where keyboard/mouse are detected but then
nothing happens, it just sits there...
I have tried gentoo-G5-20031011-5.iso and it worked just fine, but now
I want to switch to "pure64" (as old dec-alpha addict should...)
