hello. |
2 |
|
3 |
i am trying to install gentoo over an existing yellowdog 2.3 install on a |
4 |
wallstreet powerbook. |
5 |
|
6 |
when booting the 2004.0 livecd (using BootX), it is able to load the |
7 |
ramdisk but after that it goes through the yellowdog init scripts rather |
8 |
than the installer script. |
9 |
|
10 |
In BootX, I've specified initrd.omg.gz as the ramdisk, set ram to 64000, |
11 |
and have included init=/linuxrc as an argument. even included devfs=mount |
12 |
on some attempts. no go. |
13 |
|
14 |
also, i get only the penguin logo during boot if i leave "no video driver" |
15 |
ticked. |
16 |
|
17 |
any advice appreciated. thanks. |
