hello.

i am trying to install gentoo over an existing yellowdog 2.3 install on a
wallstreet powerbook.

when booting the 2004.0 livecd (using BootX), it is able to load the
ramdisk but after that it goes through the yellowdog init scripts rather
than the installer script.

In BootX, I've specified initrd.omg.gz as the ramdisk, set ram to 64000,
and have included init=/linuxrc as an argument. even included devfs=mount
on some attempts. no go.

also, i get only the penguin logo during boot if i leave "no video driver"
ticked.

any advice appreciated. thanks.
