| Hi All |
| I would appreciate some help with the configuration of Alsa on my iBook (a 2003 800 Mhz white iBook). I can t seem to figure out how to configure alsa properly... Either the volume is horribly low (almost inaudible) or (if i try the workaround from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25689) alsa doesn t start at all (telling me that some files are not present) or somehow (by doing an update-modules after undoing the workaround from above url) the volume is up, when i try to use the mixer (in gnome) he tells me that there is no /dev/sound/mixer but the sound is horrible with clicking and jumping and skipping every half second or so... |
| I am really desperate because i don t seem to find any setup where it all works :-( |
| I use the snd-powermac-driver in modules.d/alsa. |
| Any help would be appreciated any idea where i might look for the error or what i might have done wrong... |
| |
| Thanks in advance! |
