With my latest kernel build, ControlFB is enabled, and I have a working |

text console upon boot. The options you suggest do not appear to change |

that. X's behavior is also the same, as far as I can tell. I've got a |

pretty plain XF86Config, which I've attached if you'd like to look at it; |

Device options for the display, which I took from fbset, and changing the |
